Welcome to
The Wellness House
I’m Eileen and this is my awesome husband, Luc - most people just call us Luc and Leen. We live in a small town in Northern California where we’re homeschooling our two kids. After two very difficult pregnancies and deliveries, my health began to rapidly deteriorate to the point that I thought I might die. Thankfully, by the grace of God, I found a wonderful doctor who helped and mentored me with a very different approach to health than I’d ever known before. This was a “natural, non-toxic, different way of living approach” that I soon came to know as “holistic living”. The positive changes were unmistakeable and the benefits quickly overflowed into the health of our entire household. With every step forward I became increasingly determined to help others achieve optimal health and wellness in their own lives. Life shouldn’t be miserable, painful, or in a constant state of survival mode. Instead, I want to help you achieve a life that is thriving, resilient, and at peace. My goal is to bridge the gap between food, lifestyle, and health so that you can thrive as God designed you to.

Wellness Philosophy
“Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” -Mark 7:18-19
“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” -Romans 14:17
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” -1 Corinthians 10:31
Your body was intelligently designed by God to be self healing and is continually adapting and changing.
Every person is unique and there is no “one size fits all” approach to health & wellness.
Optimal health and restoration comes from a root cause approach to wellness as opposed to quick fixes for symptoms. The objective is to get to the heart of the issue and make changes that benefit overall (whole body) health.
God has provided miraculous tools for maintaining or regaining wellness through His creation, thus I prioritize the use of natural elements, diet, and lifestyle changes in our health journey.
EVERYTHING is connected. Spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional health cannot be separated.
Community and fellowship are ESSENTIAL in the healing process.
All healing comes from Christ alone and I am honored to serve as His hands and feet in our community.
What is Functional Nutrition?
Functional Nutrition is a whole life (holistic) approach to nutrition that takes lifestyle and individual needs into consideration. Similar to the practice of Functional Medicine, Functional Nutrition is centered around the individual rather than limiting to symptoms or even diagnosis. Functional Nutrition focuses on the body as a whole, recognizing that EVERYTHING is connected, with the goal of supporting the root cause of symptoms (such as gastrointestinal issues, skin concerns, sleeplessness, brain fog, etc.). These symptoms point to areas of dysfunction and are often connected to nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, allergies, fertility challenges, autoimmune diagnosis, and chronic illnesses. The art and practice of Functional Nutrition begins with the premise that “food is medicine.”
Food either fuels good health and healing or it contributes to dis-ease. Standard nutrition, in contrast, follows standard nutritional guidelines for everyone and does not consider individual needs. Note the variety of food or food groups that have been described as “good for you”… It doesn’t mean these things are specifically good for YOU PERSONALLY. In the same way, Functional Nutrition means one size doesn’t fit all!
I adhere to a Functional approach for all things health, healing, and nutrition because it is focused on discovering and rebalancing the source of the problem - not merely symptom chasing. I also prioritize Whole Food, Traditional Nourishment and Non-Toxic Lifestyle modification because it provides lasting and sustainable results. My Mission is to empower you to ask questions, seek answers, be equipped, and grow in confidence as you take responsibility for yourself and your family’s health.
